Intelsat has appointed four aerospace and technology executives to market and innovation roles in line with its strategy to offer transformational technology-powered global connections.
The company said Thursday Anthony O’Brien, formerly chief financial officer at Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) will assume the same post at Intelsat while Michael DeMarco, a more than two-decade company veteran, will transition as chief services officer.
Both will report to Dave Wajsgras, a six-time Wash100 Award recipient who was also recently onboarded as CEO of Intelsat.
“[The appointees] will help the team position our company to deliver on our strategic objectives,” the chief executive commented, adding that they also demonstrate the commitment to ensuring that customers stay connected through the company’s unified communications network.
In addition, Clay McConnell, who previously worked at Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), will become Intelsat’s senior vice president of corporate communications and marketing while Jeff Sare will lead the company’s commercial aviation division as its new president. The latter executive recently served at Panasonic Avionics.
The appointments take effect in May.
