Lockheed Secures $3.4B Navy Contract Modification for F-35 Logistics Support

Lockheed Martin has secured a U.S. Navy contract modification worth approximately $3.36 billion to provide F-35 logistics support services for domestic and international military customers.

Contract Scope

The Department of Defense said Monday Lockheed’s aeronautics business will perform ground maintenance, depot activities, action request solution, automatic logistics information system operations and maintenance, supply chain management, pilot training and training system sustainment.

Work will occur in Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and California through December 2025.

The contract action will support F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter planes used by the Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, non-DOD program partners and foreign military sales customers.

Naval Air Systems Command is financing the modification using the U.S. service branches’ fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance budget, non-DOD program participant funds and FMS customer funds.

The modification was issued under a potential $1.6 billion contract the Navy awarded in June.
