Executive Mosaic has chosen Sharon Dunbar, vice president of cross-company business initiatives for General Dynamics Mission Systems, as chair of the Multi-Domain Group for the 4×24 Executive Leadership Series.
The 4×24 Executive Leadership Program invites esteemed executives and professionals to a series of networking dinners to form relationships and discuss trends throughout the GovCon environment. The program builds meaningful partnerships by organizing executives in their fields of interest and experience to collaborate on important government missions.
This marks Dunbar’s first year overseeing the Multi-Domain Group. As chair, she is honored to lead a strong network of executives and thought leaders in the GovCon industry.
“The primary focus of the Multi-Domain Group is to learn how industry can most effectively help the military services acquire what they need to successfully conduct joint and multi-domain operations,” Dunbar said. “We’re fortunate to have impressive thought leaders from across industry participating in our group, which greatly enriches the conversations we have with senior government leaders. It’s a privilege to serve with the Multi-Domain Group — it’ll be an exciting year ahead for us.”
In her current role, Dunbar supports General Dynamics business units through collaborative efforts, implementing strategies and aligning with senior Department of Defense clients. Dunbar is also a 32-year U.S. Air Force veteran, and she retired as a major general and commander of the Air Force District of Washington. As commander, she managed aerospace expeditionary operations involving 60,000 personnel assigned globally and spearheaded national capital region missions in areas like homeland security, special air operations and national security events.
