Ron Lear

As ISACA’s vice president of models and frameworks, Ron brings over 39 years of experience with continual performance improvement, product development, software engineering and service/operations management, supply chain, and quality management.  Expanding on his early career in software and system engineering, Ron led the development and launch of the CMMI Product Suite, including being the Chief Architect for CMMI V2.0/V3.0, MDDAP, and related ISACA products such as COBIT and DTEF. Ron is a proven executive leader and is a Certified CMMI High Maturity Lead Appraiser (CHMLA), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO Lead Auditor, and Certified CMMI Instructor and leadership consultant with over 300 appraisals, including aerospace, automotive, defense, finance, biomedical and medical device, insurance, IT, telecommunications, and systems and software integrators. Ron is a primary author of the CMMI V2.0 and V3.0, including the recent updates on High Maturity in CMMI V3.0.  Ron is also an ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, and member of the ISO US TAG176 and Interpretations groups, and CMMC advisor and Provisional Assessor and active participant with NIST 800-171 and CSF 2.0 updates.
