The U.S. Navy has awarded $450 million in multiple award contract to nine Virginia-based construction services providers for for general construction work in the Hampton Roads area of operations.
The contractors will support design-build and design-bid-build projects, including new construction, demolition, repair, alteration and renovation of buildings, systems and infrastructure, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work may also cover civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and communication systems. Contract efforts running through April 2029 will be conducted in the Hampton Roads AO and, if necessary, in other areas of the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic AO.

The Navy will use the fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance funds to obligate $40,000 at the time of award and the O&M and military construction funds for future task orders.
