Tony Mitchell, a former U.S. Air Force officer, has been appointed chief growth officer and chief technology officer at Peerless Technologies.
The electronic warfare and cyber & systems engineering services company said Wednesday Mitchell will oversee its growth strategies with a focus on expanding existing programs and capturing new business opportunities. He brings valuable leadership experience and expertise in technology innovation and assessment, strategy development and business capture to his dual role.
Who Is Tony Mitchell?
Mitchell is a seasoned aerospace and defense executive who most recently served as CTO of electromagnetic defensive solutions at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. He joined Honeywell in September 2024 as part of the acquisition of his previous company, CAES.
At CAES, Mitchell served as the vice president of advanced technology, business development and strategy. Prior to that, he spent almost two years at Leidos as VP of business development and strategy for the Dynetics group, the company’s advanced research and development organization.
The Peerless executive worked at BAE Systems for over two years as the director of business development for FAST Labs, the company’s advanced research and technology organization. In this capacity, he oversaw the team tasked with capturing new businesses and transitioning technologies. He was also the senior manager for business development at Arete, a small employee-owned technology company serving the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
Before joining the private sector, Mitchell served in the Air Force for over two decades. He held various leadership roles as an acquisition officer, including executive director for the USAF scientific advisory board.
