SAIC Executive Vincent DiFronzo Presented With 2025 Wash100 Award

Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson has presented the 2025 Wash100 Award to Vincent DiFronzo, executive vice president for SAIC’s Air Force and combatant commands business group.

DiFronzo, now a two-time Wash100 Award winner, is being recognized for his and SAIC’s contribution to strengthening national security and facilitating IT and business Operations Modernization of the U.S. military.

Founded in 2014 by Garrettson, the Wash100 Award is annually given to the 100 most impactful leaders in the government and government contracting industry. The prestigious award not only honors leaders for their achievements in the past year, but it also anticipates winners’ future successes.

“Vinnie’s second Wash100 win is a well-earned nod to his leadership at SAIC and deep-rooted commitment to national security,” commented Garrettson. “An Air Force veteran, he brings firsthand mission understanding to his role overseeing Air Force and COCOM programs at SAIC. Whether driving IT modernization for NORAD and USNORTHCOM, steering SAIC’s defense growth, or shaping industry dialogue through the Potomac Officers Club and 4×24 Leadership Group, Vinnie is a great collaborator in the GovCon community.”

SAIC’s 2024 Achievements

In 2024, DiFronzo led SAIC’s Air Force and combatant commands business group to multiple major contract wins.

As Garrettson mentioned, SAIC secured a $229 million deal from the Department of Defense to help manage and modernize the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command’s IT systems and components.

In March, the defense contractor was awarded a $96 million contract to modernize the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s business operations and provide data management, knowledge management and strategic planning support.

SAIC also won spots in the U.S. Navy’s $1.9 billion contract for cyberspace operation systems and capabilities; $1.5 billion Washington Headquarters Services contract for IT, cybersecurity and administrative support; Space Systems Command’s $444 million contract to modernize space launch instrument; $375 million contract to assist the fielding and integration of land-based vehicle platforms for the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic; and a $232 million task order from the Army to build signals intelligence and electronic warfare systems.

In addition to his work at SAIC, DiFronzo serves as chairperson of the Department of Defense Group within Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 Executive Leadership program, which brings together senior government contracting professionals who want to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors.
