The company will also work to update, integrate, maintain and provide logistics support for JASSM and the extended range version, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
Lockheed says it will produce 140 baseline JASSMs for the Air Force and international partners under the lot 13 contract.
âJASSM and JASSM-ER have an important role in the United Statesâ and its allied partnersâ long-term strategic defense plans, â said Jason Denney, program director of long-range strike systems at Lockheed Martin.
Lockheed will carry out the JASSM production in Troy, Alabama, through June 30, 2018.
