TTI Wins $325M DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction Support Contract

Houston-based TechTrans International has won a Defense Threat Reduction Agency contract worth $325 million to provide support services for the Cooperative Threat Reduction, or CTR, program.

The Department of Defense said Friday DTRA launched a competitive procurement process and received three bids for the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The agency expects work to occur in various locations worldwide and will obligate funds upon issuance of task orders, which may run for one year.

What Is the CTR Program?

The CTR Program seeks to facilitate cooperation with partner governments to mitigate the threat posed by weapons of mass destruction and related materials, technologies and expertise to the U.S. and its allies.

CTR programs and departments include the Biological Threat Reduction Program, Chemical Security and Elimination, Strategic Offensive Arms Elimination and the Proliferation Prevention Program.
