QinetiQ US Books Army Task Order for Advanced Sensor Processing, Imaging Technologies

QinetiQ US will provide the U.S. Amy with evolving embedded intelligent sensor processing and optics advanced technologies under a four-year, $42 million task order.

The award made under the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract supports the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command C5ISR Center’s Research & Technology Integration Directorate, the company said Monday.

Work is focused on the development and enhancement of Aided Target Recognition capabilities, advancement of signal and image processing algorithms, development of new software applications and evaluation of technology improvements.

QinetiQ US will utilize its expertise in sensor technology and research and development of imaging systems to support the C5ISR Center and future military sensor operations.

“This award reflects QinetiQ’s commitment to advancing sensor technology innovation while directly supporting the Army’s critical modernization priorities,” said Jonathan Riksen, executive vice president and general manager of QinetiQ US’ National & Global Security Solutions business unit. “By leveraging our expertise in intelligent sensor processing and imaging systems, we’re helping the Army develop and field next-generation capabilities that support key initiatives including Next Generation Combat Vehicle, Future Vertical Lift, and Soldier Lethality programs.”
