Blake Nelson, a 25-year industry veteran with vast experience in cloud technology, has been appointed vice president of the cloud and data center practice area at Leidos.
The Reston, Virginia-based information technology company said Thursday the executive will spearhead the strategic growth of its digital modernization business, including its cloud technology offerings. He will leverage his extensive knowledge in hyper-scale cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning as well as his experience in developing go-to-market strategies for commercial and federal systems integrators in his new role.
As VP of cloud and data center, Nelson will also lead efforts to develop scalable, proven and efficient multi-cloud services. He will also spearhead the expansion of the company’s trusted mission AI-driven cloud optimization services.
Blake Nelson’s Career
Nelson was most recently a managing partner at Valhalla Partners, a consultancy firm specializing in multi-cloud and AI services. He also served as VP of platforms and cloud solutions at Science Applications International Corp. and cloud strategic solutions-DOD cloud practice lead at Accenture Federal Services.
The Leidos executive also had stints at Beacon Associates, iConstituent, Mega International, Savi Technology, JPMorgan Chase and Perot Systems.
