Kongsberg Awarded $329M Contract for Marine Corps’ ACV-30 Turret Systems

The U.S. Navy has awarded Kongsberg’s defense and aerospace business segment a $329 million contract to provide medium caliber turret systems for the U.S. Marine Corps ACV-30 amphibious combat vehicles.

The Department of Defense said Monday the firm-fixed-price contract covers Lots 5 and 6 full-rate production of 175 Protector Remote Turret 20 systems and will be definitized by Feb. 18, 2025.

Marine Corps Systems Command will obligate $51 million in fiscal 2024 procurement funds to procure material and related services and expects work to occur in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, through June 4, 2028.

The Norwegian company will also provide program management support; associated turret hardware, interfaces and software; tooling development; training materials development; logistics management information data development; technical manual development; and field service representative and training support for integration and fielding.
