Parsons Completes Acquisition of BCC Engineering for $230M

Parsons has acquired BCC Engineering for $230 million. The defense and intelligence technology provider based in Chantilly, Virginia, said Friday the all-cash transaction is aimed at strengthening its position as a leader in the infrastructure market and expanding its presence across the Southeastern United States. 

The companies initiated the BCC acquisition in October. It is in line with Parsons’ strategy to absorb high-growth firms. In 2025, Parsons expects BCC to generate $110 million in revenue. 

BCC will be integrated into Parsons’ North American Infrastructure business unit.

About BCC Engineering

BCC is a full-service engineering contractor founded in 1994. It provides planning, design and construction management services for civil, structural and transportation projects in Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, Puerto Rico and its home state of Florida. 

The engineering company has completed over 100 major projects with Florida’s Department of Transportation.

BCC is a portfolio company of from private equity firm Trivest Partners. 

Expanding Parsons’ Presence in the Southeastern U.S.

BCC’s strong presence in Florida and the larger Southeastern U.S. is expected to provide an advantage for Parsons. The region has received over $100 billion in funding under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. 

Signed into law by President Joe Biden in 2021, the IIJA, or Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, gives the Federal Highway Administration funding to construct new roads, bridges and mass transport systems through 2026.
