John Ratigan, an industry executive with over three decades of leadership experience in satellite and space communications, was appointed president, CEO and member of the board of directors at Comtech.
The company said Wednesday Ratigan has held the chief executive role in an interim basis since March, transitioning from his recent post as chief corporate development officer at Comtech.
Commenting on Ratigan’s appointment, Comtech Board Chair Mark Quinlan, emphasized, “Over the past several months, John has been an important voice in charting Comtech’s strategy to transform into a pure-play satellite and space communications company.”
Quinlan also highlighted the Comtech CEO’s leadership drive to enhance company operations, and expressed confidence in the executive’s oversight of business strategy execution.
Ratigan’s career includes time serving as president and CEO of iDirect Government and senior vice president of North and South American sales for BroadLogic Network Technologies. He also ran East Coast operations for Fairchild Data Corporation and EF Data Corp., which is now a part of Comtech.
