Tip Underwood, a business executive with a career spanning 25 years, has been appointed vice president and general manager of homeland and diplomacy at Peraton, the executive announced on LinkedIn Wednesday.
Underwood briefly served as VP of homeland security at the Herndon, Virginia-based information technology company before this latest appointment.
Prior to joining Peraton, Underwood held a vice president position at Science Applications International Corporation (Nasdaq: SAIC) for almost five years. He was responsible for profit and loss while overseeing operations for the company’s business portfolio that supports the departments of State and Justice.
In his more than three years of stay at ManTech International, Underwood served as executive director and deputy division manager and later VP of Department of Homeland Security and federal civilian programs.
Underwood also did stints at Attain Partners, URS, Apptis, Unisys, KPMG, IBM Global Services (NYSE: IBM), PwC and Hewitt Associates.
