BAE Systems‘ San Diego Ship Repair business has received a potential $225.6 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to repair, maintain and upgrade an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer.
BAE will provide all labor, supervision, facilities, equipment, production, testing and quality assurance required for the ship’s modernization effort.
The firm-fixed-price, undefinitized contract modification has a $177.8 million base value and options, which would bring the cumulative amount to over $225 million if exercised.
The Navy will obligate its fiscal year 2024 other procurement and operation and maintenance funds at the time of the award.
Naval Sea Systems Command serves as the contracting activity.
