Kyle Hopeck of Tanium and Dan Reed of GovPlace said government agencies that are implementing a zero trust architecture to protect their networks from cyberattacks need a unified platform that could provide visibility into the security posture of their endpoints.
In an article published on Carahsoft.com, Hopeck and Reed wrote that tools like Tanium’s cloud-based endpoint management platform could help agencies protect endpoints and workflow by integrating information technology security, operations, risk and compliance into a single view or console.
āThis enables IT administrators to address components across all pillars of zero trust but primarily the device, automation and orchestration, visibility and analytics, data, and network and environment pillars,ā they noted.
Reed and Hopeck discussed how Tanium’s FedRAMP-authorized endpoint management platform helps agencies gather live data from large volumes of endpoints and remediate problems on those devices without requiring too many servers or a large infrastructure.
The two industry executives stated that GovPlace helps federal agencies build their zero trust architecture by working with Tanium and integrating the latter’s technology into the architecture to support the government’s cybersecurity efforts.
