Leidos (NYDE: LDOS) has elevated Ron Keesing to the role of chief artificial intelligence officer, responsible for driving strategic company initiatives focused on developing and delivering AI products and services to customers.
The chief AI officer has more than two decades of experience in AI, machine learning and analytics, and formerly served as senior vice president of technology integration at Leidos, the company said Tuesday.
In his most recent post, Keesing worked to advance mission-critical AI as a “core discriminator” of data-driven offerings of the company. He was also the founding director of the Leidos AI Accelerator.
“As we navigate a landscape shaped by rapid technological advancements, his leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that AI remains at the forefront of our solutions,” said Thomas Bell, CEO of Leidos and a 2024 Wash100 Award recipient.
Keesing will lead Leidos’ efforts to pioneer Trusted Mission AI across its products and services.
“Over the years, we have focused on developing AI solutions that not only improve efficiencies but also uphold the highest standards of quality and trust,” said Keesing.
