Aaron Weis, managing director of technology at Google Public Sector, received his 2024 Wash100 Award during a recent meeting with Executive Mosaic CEO and Wash100 Founder Jim Garrettson.
The annual Wash100 Award shines a light on government contracting industry executives who have consistently exhibited top-notch leadership skills. Wash100 winners are chosen using a rigorous selection process that puts the accomplishments of each nominee under a microscope to identify the most influential leaders in the field.
Weis won his fifth Wash100 Award this year, marking his first win as a representative of the private sector. He made his pivot to industry in March following a nearly four-year stint as the Department of the Navy’s chief information officer, and has continued to promote digital modernization in his new role. Last year, he spoke about topics such as federal approaches to cybersecurity and the ethical use of artificial intelligence. He was also appointed chair of Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 CIO Group in August. Read more about his achievements here.
Commenting on his selection to Wash100, Garrettson said Weis has “spent the last year leveraging his deep cyber and defense expertise, existing well-placed relationships, government leadership experience and reputation for getting things done.”
Executive Mosaic congratulates Weis and Google Public Sector on their entry into the 2024 Wash100 class.
