Chris George, the newly minted president and general manager of Intel Federal, accepted his 2024 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson in a recent in-person meeting at Intel’s Fairfax, Virginia office.
Garrettson founded the award in 2014 as an annual consecration of the government contracting talent of tomorrow — those leaders in this incredibly diverse and rich sector who EM predicts will have the greatest impact in the industry’s future. Winners include some of the most esteemed and innovative leaders from the federal government, military and industry and represent the best of what GovCon has to offer.
George won his first Wash100 this year in recognition of the great things he’s poised to do at the helm of Intel’s federal arm as well as his exemplary near decade and a half serving in various positions at the company prior to his appointment to his new post in February.
“The semiconductor industry has become the backbone of technological innovation in the United States as the federal government works to regain the country’s chip dominance on the global stage. As the new leader of Intel’s federal business, Chris George is driving this innovation forward. His deep expertise in the semiconductor industry and his familiarity with quantum are assets Intel needs to leapfrog U.S. competitors and stay ahead of the curve,” said Garrettson.
