The U.S. Army plans to award five indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts worth $467.7 million combined to provide research and development, engineering design, production and related support services for the Capabilities Development Command Armament Center at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.
The procurement effort is a total small business set-aside program encompassing three functional areas: large caliber cannon engineering support, weapons research technical support and system testing/diagnostics and netcentric support, according to a solicitation notice published Tuesday.
DEVCOM AC’s mission is to deliver battlefield supremacy to warfighters through overmatch capabilities. It also oversees the lifecycle engineering processes required for the research, development, field support and demilitarization of weapons fire control systems and associated equipment.
Each of the IDIQ contracts will have a five-year ordering period.
Army Contracting Command – New Jersey will accept questions related to the request for proposals through June 20.
Interested parties have until July 8 to submit proposals.
