Federal information technology and professional services firm IPTA has created a chief technology officer position and named Hector Collazo, former Sev1Tech and Agile Defense executive, to the new role.
IPTA CEO Bill Williams said in a statement published Thursday that Collazo will be responsible for driving its innovation strategy to ensure that the firm continues to deliver transformative IT enterprise offerings to federal customers.
His other responsibilities at IPTA include leading technology-focused effort development and execution to support company growth and ensuring that technological investments align with business goals.

“I’m looking forward to leveraging cross-functional collaboration to conceptualize, develop and launch game-changing products and services that solve the problems of today and tomorrow,” said Williams.
IPTA also recently announced the promotion of Valerie Cawthron to VP of human resources and the appointment of Mary Ann Carlson as first chief growth officer.
