âI’m happy to be named to the Wash100 list⌠These recognitions just underscore the value of the work our teams do and the everyday impact of our people,â said McIntyre. “We are proud that in the span of a few short years, what began as a startup has grown into a multi-billion dollar global consultancy with integrated capabilities across the government and private sectors. As we continue to take our business to new heights, I’m grateful for the exceptional team and business we’ve collectively built.”
The Wash100 Award is the highest acclaim in the GovCon arena that names the most influential officials who are poised to contribute to mission-critical government efforts in the coming year and shape the future of the federal contracting landscape.
âAs an eight-time winner of the coveted Wash100 Award, Scott is in the upper echelon of recipients across the accoladeâs 11-year history. Scottâs consistency, vision, reliability, leadership and attention to innovation continue to qualify him as one of the most influential and recognizable executives in the GovCon ecosystem. Scott continues to position Guidehouse as a leader in the GovCon market and a cornerstone for Veritas Capital. Weâre thrilled to include him in our Wash100 list yet again,â remarked Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.
McIntyre has been the chief executive of the global consulting services provider since its inception in 2018 through the sale of PwC’s U.S. public sector business to private equity firm Veritas Capital.
Guidehouse operated as a standalone firm under Veritas’ ownership until its acquisition by Bain Capital Private Equity for $5.3 billion in December.
“We are grateful for the partnership we had with Veritas Capital, under whose ownership and guidance we were able to create Guidehouse and grow it nearly fivefold. We view the transaction as an endorsement of our business and Guidehouse’s track record of best-in-class client delivery capabilities, and we look forward to this next chapter of our evolution in partnership with Bain Capital,â McIntyre commented on the deal.
The McLean, Virginia-headquartered consulting firm will remain under the leadership of McIntyre and its existing senior management team.
Guidehouse brings to Bain over 17,000 global employees who assist clients in the defense and security, energy, infrastructure and sustainability, financial services and health industries. The firm advises government agencies including the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, State and Health and Human Services.
“On behalf of the entire Guidehouse team, we’re delighted to embark on the next phase of our growth in partnership with Bain Capital who shares our people-first culture, consulting heritage, and commitment to embracing complexity,â McIntyre said.
âTogether, we see significant opportunities to capitalize on attractive marketplace dynamics to further grow the business with our best-in-class client delivery capabilities. We look forward to an impactful partnership with the Bain Capital team leveraging their resources and operational expertise as we work towards building our next generation consultancy with an unwavering commitment to creating the scalable, innovative solutions our clients need to succeed in this increasingly digital and complex environment.â
Following the transaction, Guidehouse named 17 senior professionals as new partners within the consulting firmâs defense and security; energy, sustainability and infrastructure; financial services; and digital services business units. The appointment took effect on Jan. 1 and McIntyre said the new class of partners brings dedication, commitment and leadership that will play a crucial role in Guidehouse’s growth and success.
“Becoming a partner at Guidehouse is a significant accomplishment shared by the very best within our firm and in the consulting field, so itâs an honor to acknowledge our newest partners and their acts of client service and teamwork in delivering value,” he said.
Guidehouse also made a key appointment to its senior leadership team in May with the hiring of Ali Bokhari as global managed services leader responsible for overseeing the business segmentâs go-to-market strategy.
