Defense and intelligence services firm Mission Essential has appointed Mark Quantock, a retired U.S. Army major general, as chief operating officer and Scott “Dutch” Murray, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, as vice president of growth.
Mission Essential announced the executive appointments in a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
Quantock most recently served as executive vice president of strategic accounts at Babel Street. Prior to this position, he was COO at Global Dimensions.
His more than three-decade military career included time serving as director of intelligence for U.S. Central Command and deputy chief of staff for intelligence.
Quantock is a member of the AFCEA Intelligence Committee and serves on the Cyber Security Forum Initiative’s advisory board.
In his current role, Murray oversees Mission Essential’s growth initiatives across U.S. defense, intelligence and homeland security sales and business development portfolios.
Before Mission Essential, he led defense business development initiatives at Finch AI and Babel Street.
Murray brings to the role over 28 years of experience as a military intelligence leader. He served as director of intelligence at the Air Force’s Central Command and director of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance at the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command in Afghanistan.
