John-Matthew Urby, an industry executive, has taken on the role of vice president of business development at Arcfield, a Chantilly, Virginia-based provider of systems engineering, integration and information technology support services for U.S. defense, intelligence, space and federal civilian agency customers.
He announced his promotion in a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
Urby, most recently growth director for the Intelligence Community at the company, will focus on supporting Arcfield’s space and mission engineering sector, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He joined Arcfield in 2022 as a systems engineering senior manager.
Prior to Arcfield, the experienced profit-and-loss and growth leader was director of business development and operations at Business Integration Group.
His industry career included time holding program management positions at BAE Systems Inc., CenCore Group and Eagle Environmental Services.
Urby also served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a psychological operations specialist and all source intelligence analyst.
