Boeing (NYSE: BA) will help the U.S. Air Force operate, test and maintain a ground-based intercontinental ballistic missile system under a $405.4 million contract modification.
A notice posted on SAM.gov Monday states that the modification extends a previously awarded sole-source contract for the operations, maintenance and testing of the Minuteman III ICBM weapons system for up to five years.
The modification brings the total value of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded in September 2017 to $559.4 million, the Department of Defense said in a separate announcement.
Work will occur at the Little Mountain Test Facility in Ogden, Utah, through Feb. 28, 2029.
The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center at Hill Air Force Base will obligate $10.4 million in fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance funds at the time of award.
In February 2023, Boeing secured a potential 16-year, $1.6 billion contract to ensure the readiness and accuracy of Minuteman ICBM guidance systems.
