Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal business will provide the U.S. Navy with SHARKCAGE systems customized with commercial and commercial off-the-shelf analytics hardware and software under a potential 10-year, $789.5 million contract.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday that Accenture Federal Services will also perform design, architecture, testing, manufacturing and delivery as well as assistance in installation and logistics.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes a $9.9 million funding obligation from the Navy’s fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation budget. The project specifies a base ordering period of five years and one option for an additional five years.
Accenture Federal Services will carry out work at its San Diego office as well as at ashore and afloat facilities of the service branch. The systems are expected to benefit the Navy’s cyberspace operations.
The contracting activity is the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command in San Diego.
