Chris Haynes, formerly senior director of strategy and business development at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), has assumed the position of vice president/general manager at General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) ordnance and tactical systems business.
In a LinkedIn post on Sunday, he said he will be responsible for overseeing the missile subsystems unit at General Dynamics OTS in his new role.
Haynes has worked at Northrop for almost two decades, beginning as a quality engineer in July 2004.
Within a year, he advanced to the position of project engineer and subsequently to higher roles such as materiel program manager and senior program manager.
As senior program manager, Haynes initially oversaw the missile defense business and later transitioned to lead the advanced programs segment.
Following that, he took on the role of director of operations at Northrop before progressing to senior director.
