IBM has received a $95 million contract to help the U.S. Agency for International Development boost the capabilities of host governments in Europe and Eurasia to identify and respond to cyberattacks targeting the critical infrastructure sector.
The Cybersecurity Protection and Response contract will support the USAID Bureau for Europe and Eurasia in strengthening the cyber resilience of critical civilian infrastructure assets in the region, according to an award notice posted Friday on SAM.gov.
In a previously published request for information notice, USAID said the CPR contract aims to help government agencies and critical infrastructure operators acquire, integrate and maintain cybersecurity hardware and software; establish networks and procedures to improve threat intelligence sharing; and boost capabilities of cybersecurity personnel to conduct cyber response and recovery.
CPR also seeks to develop, train and retain the cybersecurity workforce in the region.
