Boeing (NYSE: BA) will continue supporting the U.S. Special Operations Command’s MH-47G Chinook aircraft modernization program under a $271.2 million contract modification.
Under the delivery order award, the aerospace company will be responsible for the procurement of MH-47G rotary wing renew build aircraft for SOCOM, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Boeing initially secured an $18.7 million task order in March for the acquisition of long lead components and parts in support of heavy assault aircraft.
The company is set to work through May 2027 in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
At time of award, SOCOM is obligating the specified amount for the contract modification from the Army’s fiscal 2023 and 2024 procurement and aircraft procurement funds.
