Space is the fastest growing and most increasingly competitive domain in the defense realm. The Department of Defense is pulling out all of the stops to ensure that it achieves dominance and mastery of the space domain, as evidenced by the growth and consistent developments within the U.S. Space Force, which is about to enter its fifth year of activity.
The DOD more recently established the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, or AARO, in 2022 to consolidate and strengthen legacy methodologies for cataloging and studying unidentified anomalous phenomena, which are often correlated with space origin.
Representatives from across the DOD and USSF will feature prominently at the Space Summit. Commander of Space Systems Command Lt. Gen. Michael Guetlein is the opening keynote speaker and Space Development Agency Director Dr. Derek Tournear will deliver the morning keynote address. These are two of the most important leaders shaping U.S. space strategy and their remarks will lend tremendous insight into what the DODās space cohort is planning to accomplish in the second half of the 2020s.
Like every POC event, the 2024 Space Summit will be a hub for all things government contracting.
