The Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicle Directorate has released a call for proposals for a topic area under a two-phase procurement effort to experiment with spaceflight systems and related signal, energy and transportation equipment.
INTREPID, short for INTelligent-automation through Revolutionary Edge Processing for IC and Defense applications, seeks to create a radiation-tolerant, low power and low latency artificial intelligence-enabling CIM approach that could support multidomain operations.
The effort will investigate the use of emerging volatile and non-volatile memory devices and neuromorphic computing architectures.
White papers are due Dec. 8 and requests for proposals will be sent to selected offerors.
