Potomac Officers Club will kick off its exciting slate of monthly summits next year with the 10th Annual Defense R&D Summit on Jan. 31, 2024. To celebrate its first decade, the event will feature none other than Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Heidi Shyu as the opening keynote speaker. Shyu is one of the most important changemakers in the defense sector for technology creation and prototyping. She is also a three-time winner of the prestigious Wash100 Award.
Tickets are now available for the 2024 Defense R&D Summit — reserve a place today to ensure that you and your organization are represented alongside the most notable government contracting companies and defense agencies, who will all be in attendance.
Under Secretary Shyu isn’t the only significant name on the agenda: Chief of Naval Research RDML Kurt Rothenhaus will also be taking the stage as a keynote speaker. Additional keynotes will be delivered by Army Futures Command Deputy Commanding General LTG Richard Coffman and the Office of Science and Technology Policy’s Deputy Director for National Security Stephen Welby.
The all-day series of sessions will feature these prominent leaders’ remarks, as well as six panel discussions that will look at topics as varied as the great power competition; tracing the path of technology from innovation to implementation; and taking a deep dive into the virtual battlefield, among other focus areas.
The event will be held in the Tysons Corner, Virginia area at a to-be-determined location and, like all Potomac Officers Club attractions, it will be an excellent opportunity both to ask the aforementioned speakers your toughest questions and to network with peers and competitors. Delicious breakfast and lunch spreads will be provided. Don’t wait, tickets are going fast. Register here for the 10th Annual Defense R&D Summit!
