John Avalos, chief growth officer at Arcfield since March, has been appointed chief operating officer at the Chantilly, Virginia-headquartered government and mission support services company.
He will continue to manage growth and technology functions, provide operational oversight for the company’s three business sectors and help plan for future mission objectives, Arcfield said Thursday.
Prior to joining Arcfield, Avalos was COO at SOS International, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations.
He previously led the business development organization at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and was president of BAE Systems‘ intelligence and security sector.
Before moving to the industry, Avalos served more than eight years in the U.S. Army, supporting the intelligence needs of tactical units and national agencies.
