Lite Coms has won a potential five-year, $500 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide wideband satellite communications systems and related equipment and support for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Marine Corps Systems Command is the contracting activity and received six offers for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The vendor will provide technical, logistics and training data, fielding support, training and sustainment support and engineering services and perform technology upgrades to maintain the Marine Corps Wideband Satellite Communication-Light and MCWS-Heavy systems.
Lite Coms will perform work at its facility in Victor, New York, through September 2028.
The service is obligating $7.7 million using procurement funds for fiscal year 2023.
Lite Coms designs and produces very small aperture terminals and other satellite communications products for militaries worldwide.
