Amentum Books $818M Contract to Support Navy F-16 Adversary Fighter Aircraft Maintenance

Amentum has secured a potential eight-year, $818 million contract to modernize and maintain F-16 fighter jets used in U.S. Navy air combat training.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award includes work to help the branch’s Viper Maintenance Group expand the adversary training fleet, the company said Wednesday.

“Navy F-16 Vipers play a vital role as the aggressor in fighter combat training, and our work securing Viper modernization is key to the Navy and Marine Corps fighter squadron’s combat readiness,” said Karl Spinnenweber, president of the critical missions group at Amentum.

Under the single-award contract, Amentum will provide system maintenance and supply chain support for the F-16/A/B/C/D variants.

The performance period consists of five base years and three option years.
