Clif Basnight, a 17-year U.S. Army veteran and former vice president at CACI International (NYSE: CACI), has joined Ultra Intelligence & Communications as VP of strategic technologies.
He will lead strategic growth initiatives across the company and oversee market analysis to help identify business opportunities through product development and acquisition, Ultra I&C said Tuesday.
“His expertise and passion align perfectly with our mission and vision, and we are confident that his unique perspective will drive our growth and success,” said Chris Bishop, chief growth officer of Ultra I&C.
Basnight most recently served as VP and business development executive for CACI’s Commercial Solutions for Classified-compliant, quantum-resilient mobility programs.
Previously, he held a four-year stint at Thales Defense & Security Inc. and oversaw the company’s strategic programs for defense, intelligence and civilian agencies.
His Army career included time as chief engineer and product manager of network systems responsible for leading the technical resource team of the service branch’s tactical radio program.
Basnight will serve as a panelist at the Potomac Officers Club’s 8th Annual Army Summit on Aug. 1 to offer an in-depth perspective on how artificial intelligence and mission analytics can boost warfighter performance.
