8 Airlines Book FY 2024 Federal Government Transport Service Contracts

The General Services Administration has awarded contracts to eight U.S. carriers to provide discounted airfares to to federal travelers during the government’s 2024 fiscal year.

GSA said the selected airlines will offer an estimated 53 percent discount on airfare rates for official government air travel starting Oct. 1 through the agency’s City Pair Program.

Pre-negotiated City Pair fares are projected to generate approximately $2.4 billion in FY24 taxpayer savings related to official travel for federal employees.

The awardees are:

  • Alaska Airlines
  • American Airlines
  • Delta Air Lines
  • Hawaiian Airlines
  • JetBlue Airways
  • Silver Airways
  • Southwest Airlines
  • United Airlines

GSA selected the air carriers based on the availability of their service, total number of flights, average elapsed flight time and service price.

“These negotiated fares save time, money, and effort, while allowing federal workers to help their agencies meet their missions by spending more time on their tasks and less time arranging official travel,” said Sonny Hashmi, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service and a previous Wash100 Award winner.
