Forty-six companies have won spots on a follow-on $1 billion U.S. Air Force contract vehicle to develop testing and evaluation platforms for weapons systems.
Contractors will compete for delivery orders to provide highly specialized technologies that could support the branch’s developmental and operational test requirements under the Test & Evaluation Technologies for Ranges, Armaments & Spectrum II vehicle, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
According to prior solicitation documents, TETRAS II will support the 96th Range Group and other DOD clients to build and modify T&E systems and facilities for C5ISR, munitions and electronic combat platforms.
The Air Force Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base received 49 bids for the contract via a full and open competition.
Work will occur at the contractors’ facilities and other locations to be determined upon the issuance of delivery orders. DOD expects work to conclude by Dec. 31, 2028.
