DroneShield, an Australian publicly listed company, has expanded its U.S. headquarters in Northern Virginia and added new members to its team in response to the increasing demand for its counter-unmanned aircraft systems across the U.S.
The company said Tuesday its headquarters in Fauquier County, Virginia, will serve as a hub to facilitate collaboration with its client base and strengthen partnerships with end users and integrators across the U.S. government and defense industrial base.
“DroneShield’s expansion in the US emphasizes our commitment to our government and commercial partners as they face increasing threats from advanced unmanned systems while operating both home and abroad,” said Matt McCrann, CEO of DroneShield’s U.S. subsidiary.
The company also onboarded new team members with knowledge and experience in UAS, security technologies and sensors and expects the expanded team to help speed up the delivery of new platforms and services to customers.
Tom Branstetter, director of business development at DroneShield, said the expansion of the U.S. headquarters will enable the company to further build up its presence in North America, enter into new markets and bring its products to a wider audience.
