AM General has won a potential $4.65 billion contract from the U.S. Army to provide kits, trailers and services to support the production of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles.
Army Contracting Command received two offers for the firm-fixed-price contract and expects work to run through Feb. 9, 2028, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
In February, AM General secured a potential 10-year, $8.66 billion contract to build up to 20,682 JLTVs and 9,883 trailers for the joint force and foreign military sales customers.
The JLTV family of vehicles is a joint program of the Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. The vehicles are designed to conduct multiple missions and provide networked and protected mobility for warfighters and payloads across military operations.
