Culmen International, a technical and management support provider in counter-weapons of mass destruction, border security and international development areas, has acquired Maryland-based Vysnova Partners.
Vysnova Partners provides professional support services across the areas of public and global health, translational research and development, geospatial research management, government operations and acquisition support to government and commercial customers, Culmen said Friday.
Vysnova’s government clients include the Defense Health Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Naval Medical Research Enterprise, U.S. Agency for International Development and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
“This acquisition allows Culmen to bolster our biological capabilities in support of our current WMD nonproliferation programs, and to further expand our International Development, Global Health, and Humanitarian initiatives by leveraging Vysnova’s expertise and experience,” said Dan Berkon, founder and CEO of Culmen International.
With the completion of the acquisition, Culmen now has over 400 employees through its offices across 37 countries focused on delivering program management and technical support, international training and language services, global procurement and logistics and technology development and deployment assistance.
Culmen Chief Strategy Officer Mark Dumas and Myron Thomas, chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Culmen, facilitated the integration of the two companies in collaboration with Vysnova President and CEO Carlos Rivera and COO John Fallon.
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman represented Culmen in the transaction, while Womble Bond Dickinson served as Vysnova’s representative. Culmen also received support from Hale Capital Partners.
