A By Light subsidiary has secured a three-year, $500 million contract from the U.S. Army to produce a virtual platform for military aviation and ground units to conduct combined training activity.
The service branch tapped Cole Engineering Services Inc. to build the Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer system under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Army Contracting Command received only one offer for the RVCT acquisition program via an online solicitation process and obligated $139.3 million on the award using the branch’s fiscal 2023 other procurement funds.
RVCT is designed to enable a common synthetic environment for training non-rated crewmembers in mission tasks such as coordination, flight and aerial gunnery.
Orlando, Florida-based CESI will perform contract work through April 12, 2026.
