John Myers, a more than four-decade law enforcement professional and subject matter expert, has joined CRDF Global as director of training and advisory services within the nonprofit cybersecurity organization’s security assistance division.
He will oversee efforts to expand CRDF Global’s portfolio of global law enforcement and counterterrorism capabilities, the nonprofit said Friday.
Tina Dolph, president and chief operating officer of CRDF Global and a four-time Wash100 awardee, said Myers will lead a team focused on providing counterterrorism and counternarcotics support services and his appointment comes as the organization expands into Southeast Asia and adds new U.S. government customers.
CRDF Global recently unveiled its South East Asia regional hub office in the Philippines.
“Threats evolve continuously, and I consider this opportunity to oversee a global training and advisory portfolio to be the greatest use of my experience and skill-set, and the area where I can have the highest impact,” Myers said.
Myers most recently served as mission adviser at Amentum for the Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program in Somalia. He also worked at the State Department as the resident program manager for the Diplomatic Security/Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program in Jordan.
He spent five years in the U.S. Coast Guard and his 20-year career in local law enforcement included time as director of drug operations and as an undercover narcotics investigator.
