Shane Sims, vice president of Army C5ISR programs at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) since October 2021, has transitioned to a new role as VP of SAIC’s logistics and supply chain unit.
“I am always looking to grow professionally and understand new aspects of defense acquisition businesses and this new position helps me do that professionally,” Sims wrote in a LinkedIn post Sunday.
In his new role, Sims will oversee business development and strategic growth strategies for a business that provides supply chain and logistics management services and products to the military sector.
The Army veteran previously managed a portfolio of programs that generate approximately $54 million in annual sales for SAIC. Prior to that role, he was director of program management at L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) from June 2019 to September 2021.
His military career included various positions such as a program manager for the Joint Battle Command Platform and deputy director of Army Material Command’s Research and Engineering Center.
