MTSI-Nou Systems JV Wins $637M MDA Contract to Support Layered Missile Defense System

A joint venture between Modern Technology Solutions Inc. and nou Systems has won a potential $637.1 million contract to help the Missile Defense Agency develop a layered system for defending against missile attacks.

Huntsville, Alabama-based nTSI will engineer hypersonic defense, cybersecurity, space and threat systems as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The partnership will additionally analyze and report tests, assess system lethality and provide engineering support to the U.S-Israeli Cooperative Program.

MDA received two proposals for the effort and obligated $8.3 million in fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation funds.

Work on the contract will occur at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama, Fort Belvoir in Virginia, Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico, Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado and Tel Aviv, Israel, and the performance period will run through August 2030.
