Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a potential two-year, $84.9 million contract modification to provide four Three-Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar systems for the U.S. Air Force.
This award brings the contract’s ceiling value to $182.9 million and covers production management support, travel, data and other services, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity and is obligating approximately $85 million in other procurement funds for fiscal year 2023.
Work will occur in Liverpool, New York, through the end of January 2025.
In March 2022, the Air Force selected Lockheed’s AN/TPY-4(V)1 for the 3DELRR rapid prototyping program, which includes options to produce 35 long-range radars.
TPY 4 is a fully digital radar designed to track and counter current and emerging threats in contested environments. The multimission system is available in transportable and fixed variants.
