WSP USA Promotes Rebecca Nolan to Chief Development Officer

Rebecca Nolan, former president of the Central Region business at engineering and professional services firm WSP USA, has been elevated to the role of chief development officer.

Nolan’s new position will involve helping drive the growth and client strategies for WSP’s national business lines, the company said Friday.

The CDO post most recently belonged to David McAlister, who has decided to retire after more than 35 years at the company.

“Dave has been instrumental to our success and an influential leader for more than three decades at WSP, both at the U.S. and global levels. I’m grateful to have served with him,” said Lou Cornell, WSP USA president and CEO.

“I’m eager for Rebecca to introduce her extensive and proven leadership talent to this position.”

As central region president, Nolan worked with WSP’s regional as well as national business line leaders. Prior to joining the firm, she served as executive vice president at AECOM (NYSE: ACM).

Her 35-year career in strategic planning, design and management also found her in companies such as HOK, SmithGroup and architecture firm Stone Marraccini Patterson.
