Navy Releases Final RFP for Follow-On Battlespace Modeling & Simulation Procurement

The U.S. Navy is seeking proposals for a follow-on procurement of technical support services to model and simulate combat environments.

The next Battlespace Modeling and Simulation contract will have an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity structure and is reserved for small business proposers, according to a solicitation notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov.

The deadline for bid submissions is Dec. 9.

American Electronic Warfare Associates is currently performing the work for Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division under a five-year, $99.7 million award announced in April 2019.

NAWCAD said in a July 2020 sources sought notice that the follow-on contract will support its Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department, which leads the development of synthetic and virtual combat environments for Naval Air Systems Command.

The department’s simulation division maintains the Next Generation Threat System used in multiple Department of Defense training systems, distributed exercise facilities and foreign military training platforms.
