FireTeam Solutions, an AE Industrial Partners portfolio company, has merged with Case Consulting as part of efforts to expand its set of mission-critical technology service offerings for the U.S. intelligence community.
Paul Farmer, founder and CEO of Case Consulting, will lead the newly combined entity as chief executive, according to a joint statement released Wednesday.
“The combination of FireTeam’s exceptional experience in cloud engineering and software development and AEI’s expertise in business growth and relationships in defense and intelligence made this merger a clear choice,” said Farmer.
Founded in 2012, Case Consulting is a Leesburg, Virginia-based company that helps IC, federal government and industry clients meet their mission-critical requirements by providing software developers, engineers and architects with capabilities in systems engineering, application design and development and data science.
He added the merger will enable the combined entity to support employee development and growth and continue delivering technical platforms to customers.
FireTeam Solutions is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business in Reston, Virginia, and provides systems engineering and integration, secure cloud architecture and analytics, automation, software development and other mission-critical services to customers across the IC and the Department of Defense.
In October 2021, FireTeam received a significant investment from AEI through the private equity firm’s Structured Solutions I Fund.
Maynard Cooper Gale and BDO served as legal counsel and financial adviser, respectively, to FireTeam in the transaction.
Offit Kurman advised Case Consulting on the deal’s legal aspect, while Peloton Strategies Group acted as the company’s financial adviser.
